The Government of Liberia and African Governance Initiative (AGI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for capacity building and technical support to the Liberian government.

Government has reactivated the Liberia Diaspora Engagement Program in fulfillment of President George Manneh Weah’s inaugural address delivered on January 22.

Liberia’s Vice President Chief, Dr. Jewel Cianeh Howard-Taylor has pleaded with those overseeing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) to see the need to ensure that Liberia hosts the regional office of the development roadmap for West Africa.

President George Manneh Weah says the departure of UNMIL marks a new dawn for Liberia. The Country, he said is at a crossroad of opportunities. The Liberian leader noted that with a new government in place coupled with the successful completion of the United Nations peacekeeping mandate in Liberia provides a fresh opening to assess past results, as the United Nations realigns its development model in Liberia.

President George Manneh Weah has lauded the United Nations (UN) for helping to maintain peace and stability in Liberia for the past fifteen years.
